The Tiny Chair

Clay, glaze, underglaze

ARTIST STATEMENT

This small ceramic chair plays with the idea of something familiar yet unusable. A chair usually holds a person, but this one only suggests their presence, or absence. It isn’t for sitting. it is more about pausing to notice and reflect.

Made by hand, it carries the marks of its making, showing both the strength and fragility of clay.

For me, it feels like a reminder of moments and stories attached to everyday objects.
