ARTIST STATEMENT

Being transgender, my relationship with my body is often complicated – sometimes it is exhilarating, sometimes it is a body horror.

Pulling from themes of new materialism and myths around creating bodies from clay,

I work with the clay to make my forms rather than dictating a strict form that the clay should make.

The result is undulating, organic objects of desire that are at once beautiful and unsettling.
