ARTIST STATEMENT

As a child of the 20th century, I grew up in a technicolour landscape filled with larger-than-life characters and bold colour. That environment continues to shape the visual language of my work, where playfulness and intensity sit side by side. My artistic impulse is to create media that helps children process emotions, but I now question where similar supports exist for grown-ups. This piece emerges from that space of inquiry. By merging childlike vibrancy with themes of vulnerability, this piece invites viewers of any age to consider how imagination can offer a framework for navigating emotional complexity.
