ARTIST STATEMENT
This semi-abstract work is inspired by my recent surgery in Invercargill and the exceptional care I received. It reflects the need to recognise and address problems early, before they escalate. The piece is both a meditation on resilience and an expression of gratitude.
If sold, half of the proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Society in memory of my mother, who was not as fortunate as I was to be saved.
