Victoria: Adrienne Martyn and Nela Fletcher
7 March – 3 May 2026
This joint photography exhibition explores architecture, human presence, and memory within the urban landscape of Waihōpai Invercargill.
Adrienne Martyn photographs empty, abandoned, or repurposed buildings, focusing on stillness and absence.
Nela Fletcher introduces the human body into these spaces through performative interventions, questioning how we occupy and move through the built environment.
Both artists have photographed the former Dee Street Hospital, examining its many transformations over time — from hospital, to maternity ward, to artist studios, to temporary accommodation. The exhibition encourages students to think about how places change, and how buildings hold stories and memories.
