Get creative, get curious, and make something fun at Kids Create! Each week, we turn ideas from our current exhibitions and featured artists into simple, hands-on activities that invite tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau to experiment, make, and have fun together.

What to expect

• A new activity every week

• Ideas inspired by artists and exhibitions at He Waka Tuia

• Plenty of opportunities to experiment, create, and take something home

• A relaxed, drop-in experience - no booking needed

• Adult supervision required for tamariki.

New activity every week - with two chances to join!

Each week’s activity runs twice: once on Thursday and again on Sunday. Just pick the day that suits you best! The activity changes every week, so there's no need to attend both days (unless you want to!).

Please note: Kids Create runs only during exhibitions and takes a short pause during changeover periods and during the school holidays.
