Invercargill’s Weekly Craft Hangout for families!
Looking for a creative, free, and relaxed after-school activity for your tamariki? Kids Create at He Waka Tuia is the perfect place for tamariki to explore their artistic side, meet new friends, and spend quality time with their parents or guardians.
Every Thursday from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM, we offer a space for children and their families to enjoy hands-on craft activities inspired by our current exhibitions. Whether they’re discovering a new hobby or getting creative with friends, there’s something for everyone. No need to book—just drop in and have fun!
Please note: Kids Create runs weekly during exhibitions and takes a short pause during changeover periods and during the school holidays.

Kids Create is taking a short break during our PLAY 5 exhibition to give everyone the chance to fully enjoy all the interactive experiences on offer.
